Summertime is our favorite time of year around here. And not just because it’s the best time to enjoy a cold, refreshing bottle of Crystal Geyser Sparkling Water, although, we recommend that you do.

With summer comes a bounty of delicious fruits and vegetables. Dark, plump blackberries; sweet, tart raspberries; juicy, aromatic peaches; sweet tasting yellow and white corn; and delicious, beefy tomatoes are among our favorites. Who can resist them?

It’s also a great time to fire up the grill and enjoy a light side dish or appetizer on a warm, summer evening.

Here’s a simple but delicious recipe we love. While asparagus is a spring vegetable, you can still find fresh, seasonal asparagus through June so enjoy it while you can. Why not pair it with your favorite Sparkling Water – we suggest our Natural Lemon Flavor.

4 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 pound medium asparagus spears, trimmed
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt

1. Fire up the grill
2. Brush asparagus with oil
3. Place asparagus on grill pan or directly on grill
4. Cook 3 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender and browned, turning frequently.
5. Transfer to a serving platter
6. Add rind, juice, and salt, tossing to coat
